Negative Account Balances

alright, so i went to the bank today to cash a check and get myself a new interact card. when the lady was putting in the check, she said i had an account balace of -13.50 or something like that. can anybody at all please explain to me how in all of gods great goodness i could have a negative account balance?! i haven't used my bank card in months either, and last time i did i'm SURE i had some cash in there. what the hell...

i'm at -6.50$ right now, its the damn monthly service charges that they always give us. piece of crap banks trying to fool us by giving us low interest rates. and really, what are the odds of me keeping at leasat 1000$ in there to waive the monthly fee? not likely, chances are that i'm just gonna go spend most of it. fucking banks, they should go die and give me the money

About 2 years back I used to have a bank account with Wells Fargo. One time I bought something and it was 23 cents over what I had. So the bank charged me automotically $25.00 for over drawing, then $5.00 a day untill I paid the .23 cents and $25.00. What the banks do when that happens is they send you a letter few days later saying you have overdrawn the account. By the time I got the letter and made it to the bank I had to pay $65.00 FOR .23 FUCKING CENTS! That was the day when the account was closed and since then I will never support a non-local bank.

If the bank has a monthly fee, they will charge you into the negative. It is bs, and many times the fee doesn't happen untill you get below a certain amount. Ask for a statement to be printed, but they may charge you for that too.

if you want to stop this problem in the future just get overdraft protection on the checking account. Only problem with that is, it's pretty much a credit card. Fuck banks, they always have a million ways to fuck your ass till you cry

Strode it's good to pay your credit card bill fully to avoid the interest but it doesn't look to good when you are trying to build history.
