What shouid I do: girl left her number in my yearbook.

ok, i have very little expeirence with this (ya im a senior in high school, and i guess im a looser in this respect)

anyway, she has 2 classes with me but i dotn know her too well. she asked me to sign her yearbook, and i did and she signed mine too. here is exactly what she said (exept for the phone number becuase you assholes would call it...):

Jared, You are awsome! Im so glad we have classes together. you are so lucky to be graduate! Have a great summer. (signed, and phone number)

im really shy about relationships (afraid of rejection) so idk if i should call her. should I? like i said, we have talked a few times in class but thats about it.

well to be quite honest, thats not a very indepth sort of yearbook signing. i hate to break it to you, but she probably wrote that to everyone. are you going completely off the fact that she left a phone number? or is there something else that makes you think this girl wants you?

yea buddy, I hate to be the one to break your heart but it wasn't a very sincere letter, just sort of like hey I'm saying hi kinda thing. i mean shit, it couldnt hurt to call her since you're done with school and all.. the worst that happens is she says "you're a sick fucker" but it doesn't matter cause you won't see her again. if shes attractive, call her up make some plans and let it flow, if it fails no worries you move on..

although people don't leave phone numbers for no reason, so of course she'd be down to hang out. at the worst you'd be hanging out with a girl, which is better than not hanging out with a girl. give her a call, just be confident, but don't try too hard.

Bullshit....girls who don't know you that well don't just drop phone #'s for no reason. Don't listen to these guys.

Here's what to do:
Go slow and don't jump to conclusions about anything...call her and see if she wants to hang out. Hate to sound old school but do it on Wed night or you'll be screwed for the weekend.

Do something simple...go to a party or hang out with a lot of people you both know. If more of her attention is on you than on the rest of the group she's into you. If it's not then you stay cool with here and use it as a connection to hang out with her and her girl friends. Always be cool with girls you meet, eventually it'll get you laid. Sooner before later in most cases.

here's what you should really do:

don't get worked up, i leave my number in every single yearbook i sign. a lot of people do. so don't get your hopes up too high yet she probably wants to keep in touch with you for sure but you can't assume she's interested in more than a friendship with you. so call her sometime and hang out or whatever and see where it goes.

I don't even know where to start on this... I mean, just from that post, you have entirely the wrong attitude. I strongly suggest you try to build up some confidence before you go through with this, because the "I'm shy with girls" perspective is never a good way to go about things. As for whether that number means anything... probably not.

dude, even if she wasnt intrested when she wrote her number in your yearbook, its obvious that you are intrested in her. Dont live your life in fear, always afraid of what could go wrong, always afraid that you might regret what you didnt do. Just do it. I know its a nike campaing slogan, but there is alot of truth in it. It is far better to regret the things that you have done, then to regret not trying the things at all. Just because she might not be intrested in you now, doesnt mean that she wont be intrested in you in the future, if you play your cards right. And so what if you dont? There are lots of other girls out there, youll have other chances. So my advice, dont follow your fears, be confident, and call her one day this summer and ask her if she wants to go for a walk in the park, or to get some icecream, just for an hour or two.
