Hooow does it feel/
when you treat me like you do.. etc.
The New Order - Blue Monday.
It was very sick to see Pep doing ollie to the side of rails, sick nose and tailpresses, stuff that didn't really make the cut for 1242, but still without a doubt sick. Unique.

The Seth and Kreitler powder section from Fetish. They're up in BC skiing chest deep powder throwing huge 3's and 7's off a giant kicker back when it was revolutionary. The pow was so deep and the tricks were awesome at the time. This has to be my favorite movie section. Or maybe the powder section from harvest...that was super deep too.

The movie is called "ten".
Ten.
10.
X.
I don't know where all of this equals stuff came from in the name of the movie.
On the cover it's just explaining the pronunciation.

pep in 1242.
such utter and complete sickness in the skiing, music, filming, and editing. everything is just so golden. everything just goes together perfectly, the song is so serious yet beautiful. just mad smooth shit everywhere for the first part, i love the slo-mo black&white run-up to that first massive 7, then chills out some with the breakdown, (the wall ride, the s-box), and then fucking BAM, the track breaks back out with that fucking huge 180 into pow, 5's both ways, the roof drop rail, the 180 off the cliff. it seriously has brought tears to my eyes every time i've watched it.
did levin do the editing on that segment or was it someone else? i've always been sort of curious, and have never followed the credits close enough to actually see if they tell you

tanner, SM3. theres just an unbelievable aura that surrounds me when i watch that particular segment. best park ski segment ever.
obviously pep owns 1242. best backcountry/trick segment.
and DC owns forward...and his RFA seggy was redonkulous, and is often overlooked. urban/park domination.
seth, SM2 and 3, owns the big mountain freeskiing aspect of the sport. when 'evidence of a higher being' comes up, my nerves start to tingle. and when the song 'trouble' kicks in and he throws his first backflip, my jaw drops and stays there.
there is no one best segment, because different aspects are always represented, so its tough to compare. but these are my choices.

Seth's segment in focused was better than SM2.
Pep in 1242 was the best segment of newschool skiing ever.

yes, but at the time, his ski movie 2 segment was totally mind-blowing. so was his focused segment, but not to the extent of what it was in high society.

Yes, but Pete is very generic, sick none the less, but very generic. Pep, Gagnier and Laurent Favre are probably the only skiers at the moment with such unique styles, as every skier seems to be imitating Tanner. They're doing it well, but still only a few have natural style that just flows, and they fucking own it.

Chrichton has the BEST tail grabs ever. Leading tails ooooh smooth. I don't think Pete Olenick has a generic style, cause he's the onle skier I've seen make a rail look good, without having a super wide and low stance...that's gotta be something there. His style is just so realaxed and laid back, like natural.

I know none of you will agree with me, but just go watch it for yourself. When it came out and still today, one of the coolest and sickest sections I've seen would be Dave Chrichton, Strike Three, level one productions. Sick video

1. Pep in 1242 b/c it BUILDS and builds and the song had just hit - I want to know the editor as well - Levin I believe
2. Dash in Wski - The only reason I own it very artistic with simple big shots
3. Tanner in skm3 - Del was the shit at the time and good flow, almost building like peps but not progressively, just flowin.
4. Tomas Rinfret - Red Tape - This segment is very well thought out - the only reason I own the movie as well, since it won't play all the way through because of duplication errors by french canadanadians. (who told me they would gladly replace it and then never did)
