IPod help

i put iTunes on my dad's laptop and when i put a lot of songs on there my dads computer runs out of memory. i deleted the songs i had on the computer so i could put new songs on. then when i uploaded the songs to the pod all of my old songs were gone. my question is can i save the songs to a disk and load them to iTunes every time i put songs on or what. help me please.

when you delete the songs on itunes it deletes them off your ipod. my bro had the a same problem

yeah its kinda weird, but itunes updated your ipod everytime you plug it in so if the songs aren't on the computer anymore they wont be on the ipod when you plug it in again. You can put a shitload of songs on there and then delete them from your computer, but you can never plug in the ipod again or they will be deleted

don't listen to these 2 ^ morons...you need to plug your Ipod into the comp, when you're in itunes on the bottom right theres a ipod icon... click it and then theres something tht says "automatic update" disable this and click "manual update"

next time you plug it in nothing will happen, highlight the songs you want and then add them to your ipod

as far as those other songs that got deleted, they are history.

you can save several hundred songs to a regular cd if you burn it as a data disk and not an audio cd. I would recomend doing that.

exactly. if its on automatic, it will delete the songs you deleted on itunes. If you put it on manual, then you can delete all the old songs, but keep adding new ones manually. just make sure never to click automatic again, or bye bye songs
