scratches

i like the scratches and the 174 is the perfect size for me. so i go to look at them today and my dad notices the wonderful graphics on them. he said i wasnt allowed to buy them unless i find some way to remove the graphics from the bottom. The guy at the shop said a permanent marker probably would work fine. Any ideas?


I thought the skis made you good. I got the skis and it turned out I was wrong. It must be the clothes.

my dad noticed the chick on my scratches and thought it was cool... my mom saw it and was like 'pft, thats immature' or something gay.. but thats a stupid reason not to let you buy skis.

ya that picture doesnt really do me justice im actually only 16. my parents are really realigious and stuff and my dad wont let me get them. pisses me off. and o ya the base is the only problem stickers will cover the rest.

Being Irish, I guess I should resent the Notre Dame nickname 'The Fighting Irish.' After all, how long do you think nicknames like 'The Bargaining Jews' or 'The Murdering Italians' would last? Only the Ironic Irish could be so naively honset. I get the feeling that Notre Dame came real close to naming itself 'The Fuckin Drunken, Thick-Skulled, Brawling, Short-Dicked Irish'

you can take em to a shop get them to cut out the logo then get them to use an extruder and fill is, or a base patch. It'll be super pricey and it kinda hurts the ski. but if you got them to do a base patch in black just to distort the image, you could make it look just like a paint blop for pretty cheap and you could cut out the base yourself and design the image. It wouldn't be that bad. but yeah for the top sheet dude. I suggest renting an airbrush and some paint and making a 603 ski, that would be dope. by the way thats some super strict parents. Sounds to me like you haven't broken em in yet. You gotta do really bad things, then they won't care about the little stuff like this. also are you a mormon, I don't mean this to be rude, but I gotta few buddies that are, and there parents are just as strict. they won't even let em hang out with non mormons.

no my parents arent morman. we're baptists. i mean im down with the basis of the religion but all the strict rules that come with it im not. like i can barely listen to any music(or so they think) im not allowed to swear.(same). heheim not even allowed to date. you guys have no idea about strict parents. my school is the same way. bare in mind i sont comply but its still fucking annoying.

you could spend a shit load of time and money and half them removed from the bottom. there is a guy that used to work at our shop that was really good with this kinda stuff. and you could sticker the shit out of the tops. or you could take your money and but them yourself and tell you dad to fuck off (not a smart choice but could work) or you could just find different skis.

yea i mean is it like your parents inspect your skis all the time anyways..keep them in a bag or something and just tell them that no one will see the bottoms bc they are on the ground and if you are in the air its too quick for anyone to pick out an abstract design

to all of you who said 'tell your dad to fuck off' or 'tell your dad hes a pussy' are morons. anyone that would respect their parents, or had parents like this kid (no offense) would not say that. you could try and convince your dad that you will be skiing with your bases on the snow, and no one will see them anyways. and when your jumping youll be spinning and no one will be able to see what they are. just a thought though.

i am paying for my skis. he still wont let me get them. i can get them on proform but he wont let me. i told him id be happy w/ armadas if he wanted to pay the difference, he said no.

I would just go with another pair of skis, but if you had your heart set on the scratches I think the marker would work, but I am not sure how permanent it would be. I believe a couple people on this site have tried the same thing, but I forge who. Sorry to hear that your dad won't let you get them.

really man i feel for ye, i just paid 500cad, for a pair of brand new scratch bc's, and i can't go skiing unless i get like an 80 or above in all of my subjects. So now i am 500 lighter
