I looked around in the forum archive for quality companys.. I found Landyachtz and Dreg boards to be popular. My question is, which is the better board the Dreg - Maggie or the Landyachtz - The Wedge-Flex?

my friend has the wedgeflex, and that with randals and grippins is a deadly carver. i ride the chief myself, have had it for two years and it is illmatic. landyachtz is top notch and i wouldnt go any other route.

ya, i rock the sector 9, it is so sweet, they are cheaper than the landyachtz and as nice or nicer, better than dregz too, so i recommend the sector 9

get a sector 9 fishtail with a deep concave. thats what its all about. i have a flat board with a pintail and im so sick of it, i cant do anything!
or try a Gravity board. theyre so flexy and fun!

sector nines are sick my friend has the one that says "bomb hills, not countries." its awesome, accept his trucks were too loose so i crashed pretty hard

you guys, get a HOBIE or a LOADED longboard if you're making a huge investment on one. or sector 9. but loaded is so rad. really- check em out. they are the best ones i've ever ridden.

sector 9 is not rad, not rad at all. and those of you who say there is nothing better than sector 9 are kidding yourselves. ride a big red X, or a loaded as mentioned, or like a landyachtz evo, the feeling of the boards is a lot better. i have owned a sector 9 and a landyachtz and my landyachtz holds up much nicer than my sector nine and it is better quality. sector 9 is more about image and not concerned enough with function.

sector 9 makes decent quality longboard, especially for the price. but the only way they get them to that price is by mass producing, which is where you lose the quality you get from many other longboard companies. i've had 2 sector 9 skateboards, nothing bad has even happened to them; i was able to completely redo one by adding wheel wells and sanding the graphic off the bottom, its still sitting in my closet. however, your money can definitely be spent in better places, and you won't feel bad by not giving a company a big as sector 9 your money. smaller companies might charge a little more, but the quality will definitely be worth it.

but why not make your own>? its sort of becoming a hobby of mine. you hafta buy the wheels and trucks obviously, but you have more money so yoyu can buy really really good ones. and if your just carving it up around town, thats what matters the most.and you get to make the perfect deck for yourself. at the moment im working on converting an oldschool dominion skateboard (that i bought off ...apple...) into a sick longboard. ill try and post pictures when im done, and of the last little one I made, the design on the bottom of which i rippeed of elements 'polar'.

so yeah, fuck buying them, make your own

EVERYBODY, sector nines are the salomons and burtons of the skate world. trust me, they are decent scates, but they lack soul. soul is the key ingrediant in a longboard. there are tons of indie builders (like myself) that create hand made boards that blow the lid off sector 9s. trust me on this one, sector 9s are poser boards for people who suck at skating. check out the forums on this site: www.silverfishlongboarding.com
for all the info on boards you could ever ask for. but for the origional poster, DEFINATLY go with the landy, dreggs suck.

yeah, randals are a standard, and they are nice feeling trucks. but the funny thing about them is they could be the poorest quality chunk of metal ever. they are always drilled off center, cast crooked, ect. if you want something with a more responsive and positive feeling, go with some aluminum seismics

sector nine is gay. i got a gordon and smith cut away with just 215mm independent trucks and 76mm kryptonics. i like the g and s cuz its super flexy and actually has a good amount of camber to it. a lot of people think they look like they will snap in half but trust me it wont. and i also hate those fucking randall trucks, my brother has em and thats why i got the indys
