ok, well the frame on the car is "tweeked" according to the michanic. i was also told by someone else that if it was just the strut tower, then they could un bend it and it would be fine. I hit the front left and it needs new sheet metal on the fender, hood, and a new bumper. also new front left suspension and new fan blade. total for labor and parts off a junkyard car: $2600
we only payed $5000 for the car initially becuase of high millage.
it is looking like we either get the car repaired, or we are looking at this:

the michanic said he would give us $1000 for the car as-is.
the other thing is high miles on my e36. since i havnt had it a terribly long time, we dont know how much longer the engine will last...
that audi i linked to is very appealing to me becuase of the all wheel drive and it has lower millage and the engine is supposed to last forever. it is however slower and not rwd, and NOT A BMW!, as opposed to the e36. it has the 5 cylinder engine, which is said to make it to 300k miles with a bit of maintenence. I was also told by a guy who sells, works on and drives both Audis and BMWs says that Audis are generally cheaper to repair.
what do you guys think i should go for either getting that audi, or repairing my car?
