Waking up without realizing it

have you ever had times where people woke you up early when you were really really tired and told you something, then you get up again later on and they tell you that they were talking to you that morning and you have no recollection of it? that shit happens to me all the time man, and it's freaking weird. my mom will wake me up early before she goes to work, actually talk to me, and then later on she tells me about it and i actually have no idea what she's talking about.

mom: 'i woke you up this morning and gave you the message, and you said ok'
me: 'huh, what? i wasn't awake this morning'

it's freaking nuts. i wonder how often that happens to us and we just aren't aware of it.

I do the exact same thing all the time. People will talk to me in the morning or call me and I won't remember a single thing.

I've been yelled at numerous times in the past for it. people will call me in the morning asking me to pick them up in an hour or something and then call back a few hours later asking me what the hell happened? I won't remember anything about it.

When you are tired you will say whatever it takes to get people t leave you alone so you can go back to sleep.

it happens to me ALL the time its pretty crazy
and my parents hold me accountable for everything i say when they talk to me when im half asleep, so when i tell them that i dont remember ever having a conversation with them they get all pissed
apparently ive had like full conversations but i dont remember a single second of them

yeah same here man. for instance, i was waiting for a call from this guy i was looking for work from, and i finally got the message one day, and i was mad for my parents not telling me about it (cause it was on the answering machine) and my mom said she woke me up early one morning, told me the message, wrote it on a piece of paper, and i said alright, thanks. i had absolutely no recollection of talking to her that morning. it's kinda creepy.

My old roommate used to do that all the time. You could have full conversations with him (his eyes would be open and everything), but he would have no recollection later on. His girlfriend thought it was great because she could fully take advantage of the situation - she'd ask him important questions about their relationship when he was like that. She'd find out what he really thought about things without actually having to ask him when he was conscious!!!

i am the sleep talking master. i talk so damn much and i talk about stupid things like yesterday morning she was talking to me and i asked me what i was doing and i told her i was making noise at breakfast so she asked me how i was making noise and i told her i was clapping then i started clapping in my sleep. she does it to me on purpose cuz she gets a kick out of it but i do much more than talk in my sleep. i yell out shit, ill just suddenly sit right up really fast in bed and start yelling swears then just lay back down like nothing happened. ive punched my gf in the stomach and i didnt even know until the morning cuz she had a sore stomach and she told me i freaked out during the night and started swinging at her. im crazy man i punch the walls and shit

i have these "night terror" things where i just wake up and dont know it and yell, scream, swear and destroy things. This happens all the time, once i woke up in my attic when i fell asleep in my family room.

once my friend flipped out in his slepp. we were all just chillin and he jumps up and yells "shut up its a fucking resteraunt dumb ass!" or something like that and goes back to sleep. does not remeber it

my boyfriend talks in his sleep all the time, he also likes to kick, hes kicked me numerous times. sometimes i kick him back, then he kind of wakes up annoyed, but falls right back to sleep.

he also half wakes up in the morning, i can talk to him before work and ask him things, tell him stuff...then i talk to him later and he has no memory of anything. its actually pretty amusing.

yeah that happens to me like if i tell my dad to wake me up for something and when he does i'll be like shut up leave me alone i'm sleeping, and then later in the day i'll be like dad why didn't you wake me up?

i do that at night, only i walk too. It doesnt happen as much now but last year my parents told me i came into their room and started talking to them and then went to the bathroom in their bathroom. It happened like 10 times. The other thing i hate is when ur sleeping at school and you dream that ur falling or some shit and you like shake violently and everyone stares at you.

I'll wake up yelling stuff sometimes. Like one time I got really mad at someone in my dream and yelled asshole at the top of my lungs. I woke up and my friend was awake just staring at me like what the fuck. I'm like "did I just yell asshole really loud?" he's like "dude, you screamed it".

i hate it when u wake up with your alarm and then go back to sleep then wake up only to see that you have 15 minutes to get ready for school. i did that this morning and my mom came in and shes like do u have to get up? and i'm like shit! yes i have to get up! god son of a bitch

oh god im bad with that.. my mom allwayss will tell me something usually important early in then morning so she'll yell into my room and she says i say ok i wont forget but i never remember any of it.. and she gets pissed when i dont do it.... i also turn my alarm clock off in my sleep.. which always sucks

at high north last year my friends flight got delayd and he had to com ein at 1am ot sumtin. so me and my buddies leave a note on the door saying to wake us up when he comes in so we can chill for awhile. he comes in and is hitting us and telling us to wake up and we were all like "noooo!". and none of us remember it

at like 6 in the morning my mom will come down and tell me shes going somewhere while I'm still in bed, then I'll wake up and not remember it at all. then she'll get home later in the day, and I'll be like "where the hell were you?" and she says she told me this morning, and I said Okay or something.
So there's my pitifuully bad story. Or my $.02. Woo

i do that too but i dont hink its creepy its actually a great way of getting out of stuff. see my parents leave for work pretty early so they sometimes wake me up to tell me i have to do some sorta chore. by the end of the day i dont have recollection of her telling me anything so they dont get angry.

im not a big talker in my sleep but in the morning my alarm clock wont go off, so my mom comes in to wake me up and like im like "yeah ok im getting up" to her and then like i fell back asleep but started dreaming about actually getting up so like in my dream i was downstairs eating and then i jsut woke up and was like shit! now i have to actually go do all that "again"
