Cheap Ski Vacations

Where would you reccomend for a cheap ski vacation? My friend has been asking me but most the places I have mentioned are too expensive for his family. Whats an good resort with cheap lift and lodging? I was think somewhere in Canada to take advantage of currency rates.

alta...get some cheap airfare...lift tickets are pretty cheap, stay at hostel for 14 a night and take the bus to the resort from the hostel which costs 1 buck.

if you are from the states go to canada. you get a lot more for your buck becuase of the exchange rate. whistler has a buncha hostels to stay in too. word.

My family is going to try Tremblant this year. I have a 6 night 5 day skiing package in the village for $435.00, before taxes and after the exchange rate. I found this on line and this doesn't include any transpo expenses. I live in michigan and I'll drive the 10 hours to get there.

If you go to banff you can stay at a hostel $20 cdn per night I think. and you can ski sunshine, louise, norquay, nakiska and fortress. they are all within an hour and a half drive from banff. and for cheaper accomidations try calgary or canmore. both are outside the nat park, so everyday things are cheaper. thts where I would go

there are some stay and ski free deals at mammoth - 70$ per night per person based on double occupancy and 2 night stay. you get slopeside lodging and free lift ticket. not to shabby.
