Worst bank ever. The interest they pay is only marginally higher than other banks, and it is such a pain in the fucking ass to get your money from them, i ended up having to pay more for cheques to get my own fucking money then i made in interest in like 4 years. Fuck them, i highly recommend you dont get an account with them.

they have dumb commercials too...and that is probably the most important factor in deciding a bank

invest in a mutual fund.... even if the stock market were to go down 25% 4 outta 40 years u would still make more then u would in the bank..

banks are only good for robbing

If you invest in a mutual fund, how are you supposed to write a check?

Money market is your answer, and yes the rates suck. Best bet is probably short term CDs if you got the flow to keep aside for a year or whatever.

ING Direct is awesome. No other banks are giving 3% interest with no fees right now. I use it as a savings account and have it linked with my regular checking at another bank with a ton of branches so I can transfer money back and forth with no problems. I don't know why you would try to use it for a regular checking account, that is just dumb.
