well it was fun while it lasted. but now i feel like a complete asshole. I hit this woman turning into the school parking lot today becuase I was in the turn too fast.
I was getting in my car this morning, and im thinking about all the stressful stuff i have going on right now. Im thinking about all the assignments i have at the last 2 weeks of my last year of high school. its really hard to get any school work done when your a senior near the end of the year. Im thinking about how crappy work is. then i start thinking "im not going to be late today' so i step on it. my first period teacher is a total bitch about being tardy, and it is the only class im ever tardy to and even if your under the doorway she counts you tardy when the bell rings and she takes points off your grade when your tardy. So, i speed up to get aroudn this car but the right turn is coming up and im in the left lane, and im going about 60 probably. i slam on the brakes and start to take the turn but im slipping bad, and i hit the side of this audi. i was probably going 35 (i though it was more like 25 or 20 becuase i did lay on the brakes hard, but...).
it sucks so much, i feel really guilty and emberesed, and on top of that, i love my car, and i dont know what will happen to it. my insurance is gonna skyrocket now, not to mention the humiliation of practly half the school having to drive around the cones they put out on the side of my car.
it is only the front courner, so hopefully i can get it fixed good as new. the headlight the bumper, the hood and the fender will need replacing, but the rest of the whole car seems intact. all wheels rolled smoothly when they put it up on the tow truck, and hope that there isnt any dreaded suspension work to be done.
part of the reason i feel so silly and horrible is because i hit a curb doing roughly the same with my e30. (it was a left turn so i wasnt in the wrong lane or anything) that is when i had alot of suspension work done.
I am amazed at how the car took the impact. i didnt feel a thing, and therefore didnt think it was nearly as bad as it was once i got out and looked at it all. the sheet metal of the car just took the hit like a knife into butter.
im just wondering, if i had really nice tires, do you think i would not have slid into the other car? (i have really shitty ones right now...)
