probably take it off unless you want to keep switching your stance. It adss a lot of weight. Mount them big mountain and push the bindings forward a bit

The mad trix binding system, while an interesting idea, is heavy as hell. Head/Tyrolia is not going to continue to make this system next season (2004) for obvious reasons.

off take it off immediatley, it will fuck you up. its way to heavy, its like skiing with fuckin cement bricks on your feet. mount em on the big mountain setting and you'll be just fine.

well, it's ur choice, if u think u could get use to the heaviness (i did) then maybe leave it. but, i broke that black plastic dealie under the metal plate 3 times last year, and under the warrenty they had to give me new skis each time. so the last time i broke them i told them just not to put on the plate. they plates def added a lot of weight. and over all, id say the amount of weight added isn't worth the fact that can switch the ski around. the two modes aren't that different.
so i say try it out if its already on there and take it off if u don't like it

Ya man, beanie here, totally sweet system, i tested them for the team last year when they came to wentworth, but dont tak them off big jumps, they CAN break on impact but if you are info the deep powder shit and taking it down fast then keep them as a backup when you arent on normal 1s
word.
ps. the system is pretty kick ass
the team is mainly weirdos tho, they want it in the brown.

well, what happens is that a hard landing (like casing a jump) sometimes makes the lever dealie up front flip up so the system unlocks, and then the plactic peice under the metal part can break easily.
also, if u plan on breaking them, or taking the chance, then make sure u have the warrenty. like, if u got them off ebay for example, they prolly wouldn't be.

get rid of the skis and the system. the enitre package is awful and over priced. the realease on the system always comes undone while im skiing, hte flex is ruined by the metal plate, they are heavy as shit, and the mad flex bindings flex way too much. ive put mine in every ski swap in alaska and nobody wants the pieces of shit.

i've written to Head Canada and they're prolly ignoring me but if i bought 01/02 mad trix this september is the warranty still good? and what exactly is the warranty ?
secondly, is it possible with like some quick instruction from a local ski shop to be able to take the system on and off and mount the bindings each time? with like the DIN set and all. more outta curiosity than anything
and I saw the Nordica Synergy thing in Freeskier and so that's pretty much the same concept as the mad_trix system but alot better?

System is
Huh?
Take 'em off. All the pro riders use the ski with a normal binding on them.
Mount them an inch back from centre, big mountain forwards and you'll love your life.
They're a great ski, but the system is shit.
I'm over it.

I am yet to read something positive for the system except for an add for it last year. What a flop, awesome idea but it just didn't follow through.

I'd keep it on. You spent the extra money for it so you might as well use it. If it breaks do what that one guy said and keep getting new skis.

yo spread eagle, what the hell are you talking about man? the skis themselves are amazing. i dunno why you wouldn't be spending ur money on some powder skis tho if you live in alaska.
