Edge Angles

Just about to get my skis serviced for the fisrt time (long overdue)

What edge angles work best for the trouble makers.
I need them sharp but don't want to catch them too easy on rails

I think dynstars recomended is i degree base, 2 degreees side. But that doesnt really matter, just do have them grind the bases then 1/1 for the angles will be fine you wont notice a diffrence really.

Although some people do like to have a more ramped bevel under the boot for grinds and stuff, in the end it doesnt really matter aslong as your not going above 3 degrees either way. Keep it simple.

just have 1deg. base/1 deg side put on them. it's pretty standard and good for all around performance. and dont worry about catching edges, you'll be fine. i sharpen my edges all the time and im fine

You can run more bevel on the side for better ice grip, but you'll sacrificing durability. I would stick to 1/1 for the park.

Your edges will have fallen of soon enough and you won't have to deal with bullshit like this anymore.

i work in a shop so my advice is to get a 1/1 then if you use them on rail get a gummy stone and a file and detune the underfoot from the begining of the toe pice to the end of the heal pice.
