I am most likely moving to tahoe this coming winter, and was wondering what the best mt to work at based on scheduling, pay, housing, scene, and the mt itself. Also best dirtbag fun town/area to live in, I am pretty sure I am to poor to live in south lake...Is truckee expensive?

I'll give you some Mt. info. Squaw/Alpine are good for skiing the mountain and powder days. Both have a good park. Squaws pipe is perfect. Alpines jumps are perfect. If it's windy it get's reallllllly windy on top of these mountains so they often shut the top down. Northstar has a really fun park and ton's of awesome rails but it gets pretty crowded and is pretty flat otherwise. Good to ride there during the week. Sugar bowl is fun too for skiing the mountain, theres some steep stuff there. I don't know much about south lake mountains I haven't skied there much. But I do know Reno and South Lake are litered with casinos so i'm sure you won't have trouble finding dirtbags.

squaw is gonna have a sick park next year. because of the park situation this year, they are getting tons of pressure to get there mainline park up by mid december. they also treat there workers pretty good. being a park official is the best cuz all you have to do is rake the jumps in the morning and ski the rest of the day. then set up new stuff at night. and the best part about that is that on powder days they shut down the park so the park crew can go and ski powder all day. its definately a good mountain to work at. best terrain for all types of skiers. they got the best cliffs, chutes, and steeps in tahoe, an amazing park once they build it, and an amazing village with tons to do. plus its the closest mountain to trukee im pretty sure. the only downside is the ski patrol are dicks.
