well, a metal dish like that has been used for thousands of years to make fire. The olympic tourch was lit from the sun using one of those metal bowls.

the chocholate probebly has little spicules in it that act like a VERY fine sand paper. Thats why it takes an hour of gridning.

I would start off with comet cleaner, then move to toothpaste, then to get it to the mirror shine move to chocolate then flour.
