Digital Camera

At last a sensible post from Bawb

I would like to buy a digital camera. Is it true that some of them can do short vid sequences? That way I can contribute to this site (starting in 4 weeks when I clip in and push off for the first time

Any help advice on which model to buy and price would be greatly appreciated.

Also apologies to all the people I have inadvertently insulted recently, I'm not that bad really. As for the ones that deserved it - go f**k yourselves and think of better insults than 'your gay' because that just don't bother me

ya, a lot of them can shoot vid. not very long or good quality. most can do about a minute of footage.
decent ones for about $500 are:
canon g2, minolta dimage 7, olympus C4000

sony has some nice ones out that will record video

make sure you have a large memory stick if you plan on making clips

only buy a nikon, canon, or olympus digi cam i have a nikon 885. its a real nice camera, i wish i had gottn the 995 though. all upper end digi cams take video.

lol no shits it's good quality if it's six megapixel! That's some serious dough...absolutely no less than a grand+ (USD) i'd say.

I can get a 5mp Sony here in town (ontario) for like 1499 from the sony store.

I've got the canon Power Shot S110 Digital Elph. It takes 4.5 min of really bad quality video with my 128 MB card. My favorite thing about it is that it's really small and pretty tough. It's easy to fit in the pocket of my jacket, so I don't have to carry a big camera case. The camera with the big memory card was around $500 US.
