Looking for a ski that will handle some high speed turns on the groomers and might even hit some ice now and then - how do the chronics carve and do they hold an edge?

I hear that chronics are great allmountain skis.

dude any ski is capable of carving groomers. Thats like asking if a car is capable of driving down a neighborhood road.

^If your looking for the best "car" for driving down the road, would you buy a Caravan or Porsche?

Thats not what he was asking lineskier. He was asking if the caravan would drive down the road, and yes it would. As I said any ski will do that.

the chronics kill everything. sick skis. and if they are too stiff for you, butter them a bit and they will soften up

i love my 05 chronics and they carve well on groomers and cut through crud and have really strong edges and hold through ice. greate in and out of the parl, a little stiff for the park bu still good. really poppy and if you land back the pop you back up really well.
jus an amazing ski
but i have never skied them in pow so not sure on that

ec_chrons' right bout the chronics...the stiffness supports backseat landings pretty good...i dont really think they're that stiff for pipe...true they are more than most park skis...but the stiffness makes it hard on your legs in the pow when you lean back.
