Ok, I play basketball as well as ski, and for any basketballer who liked shoes, there was only one place to go.
http://www.kicksology.net/
It was the one-stop-shop for in-depth, interesting, informative reviews on pretty much all basketball shoes around. It has since shut down, but you can scroll down half the page on the above link to see a sample (Nike Huarache 2K4 if memory serves me).
My idea is that NS employs one or two people to go around and get some sample skis off reps, and then review them in an in-depth, interesting and informative way (much like the bball site), covering things like flex, turning ability, pop etc etc
We could make NS THE place to come for info (and pics) on new twin-tips. Obviously there wouldn't be a lot of support from the companies in the beggining, but after a while they would come to realise that an unbiased review could be very beneficial (especially if it is a positive one).
With the bball site, it got to the stage where the major producers gave their first releases to the site, in hope oof a positive review (although a lot, esp. Reebok got absolutely blasted). They knew that a positive review on Kicksolgy translated to more sales.
And this would save all those annoying threads like "how fat are the prophets???? can i race GS with them??"
My 2 cents.
keep your filthy mits off me!
