Ya, so first of all...I always ski with my digital video camera in my pocket. One day i was skiing pipe, and i hit the one wall, and felt my camera fly out of my pocket. I freaked out and hiked up the pipe looking for it and couldnt find it. Later on, some random guy must have picked it up and gave it to one of my friends. After a few days of drying out, it worked fine again.
A few weeks later, i was once again skiing with my camera in my pocket.(I had it zipped this time.) I hit a flat down flat rail that was built up a lot. I fell off onto my side where my camera was. I landed on it and broke the LCD screen. I landed so hard on it that I had a black and blue from where the camera got crushed into my leg.
Last night was the worst. I was on the phone and trying to open my car door. I set my camera on the roof of my car. Big freakin mistake. I pull out onto the highway and start going about 50. After a few seconds, I hear a thud on the back window of my car. I knew exactly what it was and started to freak. I knew that my 400 dollar camera was in a million peices. I stopped the car and started looking. I busted out my keychain flashlight and started walking up the highway. After about 15 minutes of searching in the pooring rain, I find my camera laying in the grass. I was stunned to find that after being hurled along the highway at 50 mph, It was all in one peice except for the eyepeice was missing, so i need to order that. But, the lense wasnt broken and everything worked fine. I loaded all the footy today and everything was 100 %. Thank you Canon. You make one beast of a camera!
