i used to ride a kona bike (stinky) and i never had a problem and it rode fuck excellent ive never had a specialized bike but ive heard they are pretty money so i would consult other riders tooo
specialized, ive heard that they have a lil lighter frame
and the forks that come stock are nice but w/e

i ride a specialized now and it keeps breaking. the only thing i like about it are the tires, and the lifetime warranty on the frame.

the specialized frames are strong as hell. my friend has a p.3 and we drop that thing off of 6-7 foot walls and literally nothing has happened to it. go with the P.2 and if you can afford it, get the P.3

the p2 is really nice. i used to ride a p3 and found it was SUPER solid on drops and even nice for mountain. not as nice for street and park though.
(ive also heard a bunch of shitty things about kona hardtails)

I got the p.2 Totally sick but like most bikes in that price range to make it a trully solid bike some work needs to be done. Same with the Scrap though. The only thing Ive ever broken is the bottom bracket
