There r like.. how many? 50 freestyle skis next year on the market with "freestyle" graphics some of them great some of them crappy, but I feel the companies just work on the ski design, little companies do freestyle specific boots or poles with graphics acording to the sport.
I think they r part of the equipment so they should start growing in that area.... All snowboard companies have lots of freestyle boots for example.

Cut the plastic cuff off to the top buckle and add a booster strap!

they should make nike air force one type looking boots or like sneakers. Skates are on the right track they started out with basic looking rollerblades and now they've be coming out with soft boots and such. heres a picture of a skate that i feel would look sick if it was made a ski boot or something similar.

You cant compare a rollerblade boot to a ski boot. Ski boots have to apply pressure to something 160+cm long whereas the pressure you put on the skate is more to the side and you only need stiffness for balance. In ski boots you need stiffness to actualy ski well. The softboots are great when your just fucking around on rails and stuff but they are a bitch to pullout sketchy landings on because the boot just has too much give to it. If people would just shell out the money to go to a decent bootfitter they would be alot happier with their boots. They are definately one thing you can't buy based on what other people tell you, if you want something that will fit and perform well. That said, the older flexons are probably the best newschool boot you can find, if it happens to fit your foot. Now more boot companies will be coming out with a 3 piece boot style like the krypton that will really make bootfitting alot easier and give you a feeling of really having your heel locked down, while remaining comfortable. That is definately the direction that ski boots are headed, just wait a year or two for k2 to get some balls and start using those flexon molds they have.

^^ why the fuck would anybody spendlarge amount of money on poles. Man that is just stupid, they will snap of bend eventually, weither your a pro or not. I bought my salomon 1080 and they snapped in like two days it does not matter. Buy the cheepest shit possible, and just sticker, and spray paint.
Matman10: Man lat you had that 7 down but you binder poped off
Laterails:Yeah i think they aren't adjusted, or it could be the fact that all that is holding them together is one of my pubes

Head is gonna make some, and Rossignol has the bandit. But personally all the same shit to me. A boot is a bot, and i don't know why people hate salomon 1080. For pretty much at long as new school skiing has been formed the 1080 has beeen the boots of choice for most if not all pro for many many years.

i like my x waves better than 1080s. same boot with a different liner. the 'shock absorbing' heel on the 1080 doesn't do shit.

Anything that isn't before 1980 is all good in my books. REally does not matter which model i get, i am all about the comfort, nothing else pretty much.

I just put Line stickers all over my boots, it looks kinda cool.
As for poles, I have the coolest poles on earth, better than joysticks.

I got the 1080's they really light. I dont really care about the design on poles. I mean poles are poles i dont need to pay $60 for them...
