CD-RW

I bought these CD-RW because I thought the point of them was that you coudl use them and then reuse them. However I made myself a CD and then i was trying to reuse the CD and it said that it wasn't a blank cd so it couldn't make a CD.

Am I just confused and you really can't rewrite a CD-RW?

I dont think you can FINALIZE the cd and re-write... but yes you can re-write CD-RW... thats what the RW stands for.

i never use them cuz cd's cost less than .50 now so whats the point. go buy a 50 pack of cd-r for $19.99 and dont pay for a cd-rw.

i think you might also have to format the disc when you wanna re-write that shit. thats why it says the disc isnt blank.

fuck the 50 cd's for 20 bucks, get a hundred for 20 bucks, either staples or ebay

probably because dual layer DVD is finally out and you can store 9.4 GB of data...
thats 9.4GB X 1024MB = 9625.6MB
9625.6MB / 700MB = 13.750857142857142857142857142857 times bigger than a CD

damn technology is kicking some ass

Ok yea I just bought these cause I figured if I could keep reusing them it would save me money, guess thats a bunch of bullshit.

yeah man they dotn end up saving you shit... its more of a hassle then anything i have concluded. and how often do you wanna reburn a music cd or whatever.

i didn't mean to criticize you d-loc, i was just sayin they're cheaper than that at some places. and who uses cd's any more anyway, it's all about the iPods. and i don't think cd-rw's have as good quality either.

I can make 100 cd's for twenty bucks, I don't have 200 to spend on an Ipod. 100 cd's would last me forever.

yeah i have an MP3 player in my car and for a stereo so i just burn MP3 and get 700+ songs to a cd... so do that math and you got hella cheap cd's for the amount of music you got

and carrying an iPod around is a lot less hassle than carrying 100 cds and a cd player

^yeah but what if he wants cd's just for data... then whats the point in buying a $300 portable HDD? why not just rip it to cd and take it where u need it and install

You can put other shirt onto CD's and it ain't like I'm gonna carry 100 cd's around. I use them mostly for my car I don't really listen ot music anywehre else.

I'm stoked about the dual layer dvd things. It would be sick if they made dual layer dvds small (like the small cd's) and then made super small cd players that played the small cd, and then you could have like 5 gigs of music on one little disc. Ipod eat your heart out

You can re-write them. D-loc is an idiot. You just have to go to "erase disk" in your software, and in a few minutes you'll have a blank cd.
