Loveland Vert Alert

I did it last year. The jumps were incredibly shitty. Hard to say how big they were cause the landings dont have a definitive starting point they just kinda go down gradually from the jumps. The junior category won with like hucked 9 that he skipped the first jump for and didnt stick. The adult was like a 3 into an uber smooth seven. Then there was a rail jam segment that was pretty cool.

The jumps did suck last year, you couldnt fall akwardly after going big and not expect to get roughed up. It is a fun comp however, no pressure, everything from corks to botched straight airs.

so whats the park set up now? size of jumps, rails, etc.?

i was up there today ( 4/21 ) and they had the park closed to get ready. Right now they have three jumps. One is a hip at the top of their park and it is probably the most heinous thing I have ever seen. Then they have this jump that is pobably like 50 feet but im not sure they are done with it. Next to it is a pretty well built hip that is probably like 30 feet long, but u couldnt take straight just cause they suck at building shit. In terms of rails at the top of the park there is a up flat box and next to it there is a flat rail to a down rail that is a total of like 30 feet. Plenty high to rack oneself too. Then below that there is an a frame rail with no kicker onto it and this really pitiful triangle rail. then there are the jumps. Below the jumps there are rainbow rail, and flat up flat box, and A frame box, a really short c box, a big wallride, a down rail, and a flat box to a down box. The real problem with lovelands park is the run it is on is way to steep for a terrain park, and they dont know how to build lips onto things or landings.
