throught out my years i have noticed a huge change in skiing..it used to b for losers..but now it is talking over as the new extreme sport..i feel that snowboarders can suck r dicks..how about u?

ive noticed a big change, but i think it depends where you're from, theres still a lot of places where snowboarding dominates and vice versa.

skiing isnt as good as snowboarding yet....like someone said in one of endless independent company threads, most ski companies are thinking about freeskiing, just racing and carving....there needs to be a lot more independent companies before its like snowboarding

you're a fucknig idiot snowboarders are awesome never pay them out again. they are our partners in the fight against snowlerbladers, and they are still much more popular than skiers. if we want to progresds to their level we need their acceptance. we DONT need to tell them to suck our dicks.
PLUS most snowboarders have the most awesome steeze ever.

yeah it really does depend on where you ski. in the tahoe region, skiing seems to be on the same level as snowboarding - image and respect wise. i don't know about the whole "snowboarders can suck our dicks" statement because there is really none of that attitude around here and i'm glad there isn't. i think the hatred is stupid and only the newbies to the sport are the ones that seem to embrace it.

the ratio of kids at my hill is about 5 or 7 snowboarders per skier
the ultimate goal is to have skiing be just as popular and publised some snoboarders are cool and some aren't same with skiing

whoever said its a fight against snobladers is really an idiot. skiin today is on a completely different level than it was even 4 or 5 years ago. its blowin up. its becoming cool again. i love it. you all love it. i'm stoked that everyone on here is about to be part of this because i see something big on the horizon.

and compared to snowboarding? that is just another outlet. we really are all in this together. snow sports has become hip again and we are here to lead the revolution.

you guys don't even have a fucking clue.... you all think that skiing is so cool, and "i am going to be a pro skiier" and such. what you don't know is that snowllerblading is really growing. you know the pros who are really keepin it real have been in hiding for a while now, but the time is almost here that they will rise against you evil skiers and rage vengence apon the slopestyle course, and destroy lines in the BC that were never thought of on those stupid big skis.

I ride both skis and boards. I would like to see the day when they are basically the same sport and it's just a matter of if you feel like riding one or two planks that day. Obviously there are things you can do on skis that you can't do on a board and vice-versa and this has been stated time and time again. But, none the less our sports, styles, clothing even cultures for that matter are so similar that there really isn't any need nor cause for hating. If you really hate boarders so much, why don't you watch their tricks and try better them on skis. That way you'll be talking with your steez and not your mouth. That earns a lot more respect.

But what if the Hookey Pookey isn't what "it's all about?" Then what?!?!?!?!

where i ski i seems massivley uncool to ski. besides the one crew that is always in the prak (like 5-10 skiers max)its alllllllllllllllll snowboarders. and personally i dont mind it tht way becasue that way we dont get caught up in all the bs and what cloths we are wearing and if we are matching and all the crap that snowboarding is doing know(and even some skiers).

but i still think we have a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG way to go before we will be accepted into the mainstream......skiing is for the most part,still undergound

my little brother was watching cartoon network and they did one of those things where a kid explains the sport he does and shows a video of it and it was freestyle skiing....

skiing is awesome and ppl dont kno it yet casue all the kidz i talk 2 do think snowboarding is better and they have never been on neither! on TV and MTV they show snowboarders doing sick insane tricks and thats what all the kidz see is snowboarding u hardly ever c a skier drop in on a half pipe! i belive if skiing was shown more and open more to the public then more ppl would try it! all the ppl kno is the "sterotype" skier! but i have tried snowboarding also i figured "cant knock it till u try it" and it was alright but it doesnt really matter how u slide down the hill as long as u hit some insane jumps on the way down:)
