How easy is to be good at park?

Yo, I want to know how ya think about this cause I has been riding for 2 years the park with no stoping and my skillz improve like on 90 percent, i mean , now i can throw lot things from big airs, have some good air, learning tricks on pipe and going to all sort of rails with no problem. I really think if u dedicate 100% of the time to park u can be pro as all the skiers out there.... I mean , only if u love cause there will be never tired for doing it again and again. A good example for this is Turpin wich started at 19 years old and he is cosidered 1 of the good pros out there. I know he was a good at rollers but that dosnt mean he has to be good at that short time just for being so.

yeah I know i am not good.. i know and i ahte to say my tricks and stuff but the point is that i think that is easy to be good at park and if u have the dedication u can do it as a pro.... i really think that talent ability dost exist.... if u love somthing u can do it .. and I willc ontinue skiing cause i like it thats all.... for example... here in Chile the skiing is new in the park and is hard to improve in a place where all freestylers are snowboarders... but there are some guys that are riding dor 3 seasons the park or smthing like that and theya re sponsored by salomon. theyc an do sw backs, cork 7 and sw rodeos 5 thats why i am saying that and they are normal pple they dont do gymnastic n stuff

just because you are good at your park or parks does not mean park is easy.
Those guys roll through the jib fest going on now at keystone and aspen and kill it completely in one day.
They are good at every park and all urban, and it takes time and injuries.
If you pulled a switch up or a 5 on your first try, congratulations, you will pay the price sooner or later everyone gets frustrated and hurt and has bad days.
I DISAGREE with you that park is easy, if turpin is super talented good for him, if you are good for you but slopestyle is harder than it looks period.

I know what you mean that if you devote your life to it then you could be sponsored after 3-5 years, which is true with many sports. if anyone on here devotes their life to freestyle for 5 years and trains really hard and skis everyday, and given they have a good amount of natrual talent and are not fat blobs then most people could become sponsored at the least.
its kinda hard to understand what your trying to say sometimes....

yah honestly you aren't very good for two years. I hate to be a dick about it but you were the one who stated how easy park is. I can do everything you listed and more, after one year in the park and on teles, and i don't pretend to be good at all. So long story short, you are full of bullshit.

ya but then comes the steeze factor. Anyone with skis and balls can go off and try to huck a 1080....and they are gonna break themselves and its gonna look like shit. Welcome to the steeze factor. Where you need to spend quality time working out the kinks in the tricks. That kind of stuff cannot really be learned quick...it needs to be learned over time.

winterkid33*$ u got my point,
the fact is , it dosnt matter if a guy is beter than me or not for riding less time, that just complement my point about the easy part of park.
Also u guys said style is what is hard and i agree and thats why i dont do any spectacular trick... cause i would be doing it as a pencil maybe. so on u are just triyng to take shit on me cause i said it is easy to get good at it.
I really think not only in this sprot, in life all what u want to do, u can do it if u work hard. Thats what life means.
Is true that it is not easy if u go to the park 1 or 3 times a week, i mean if u work hard u can do it!!!!

Thats right, what a stupid question eh ?
Park is easy, I can do this & that,
It's never easy if you keep pushing yourself in to
more insane difficult tricks, You say u 270 0n & off, well try a 450 and then go tell your mother about it. And stop blowing your own horn you
can smell the BS from here. You created a stupid thread and you deserve all the shit that we throw at you.

You're right about that natural ability thing. It's like that in almost every action sport there is today. Plus it's also not how much time you put into it, but also what you are willing to put into it, like say... your health.

I hate to say it but if you guys have been skiing for 2 years and can pull that kinda stuff big and well, that is abnormal. He sounds pretty damn good for 2 years to me. Natural ability is there, but its built by yourself over your lifetime, see if you are just lazy and never do anything at a younger age you don't gain as much natural ability, but if you skated, or biked alot and were a really active person that doesn't happen. Park really is an easy thing to become really good at if you have the balls to go for it. Because really you get lifts to the top of every run and the consequences of failure are often less anyway. eSPECIALLY WITH THE WAY TRICKS HAVE BEEN GOING.

It's a combination of balls, creativity, and time, and nothing short of that. If you don't hold back, always think of new stuff to do and try, and you're out there everyday, you will get good as long as you stay healthy. I do believe in natural ability to some extent because I played hockey and snowboarded before skiing and it definitely helped in getting through ski basics fast and onto park and backcountry. Riding all sorts of varying terrain helps too, as does other so-called "extreme" sports.
I dont know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

first of all, some people just have it, you cant say its all work. Take for example my brother and rollerblading,
i skate a shit load, and im pretty good, he barely skates, and he is good too, now tell me how he got as good as me then????? it takes lots and lots of time practices balls and theright skills. Anyone can do fives and sevens ect. but it takes skill to be able to do even these tricks with style, and off large things. Any one can learn to grind a rail and switch up ect. But you have to be able to nail that shit everytime. If your not consistent , your not going to have the confidence to try in on big stuff. Ive seen a kid go from learning switch fives to switch flat sevens in about two weeks,
granted, we where skiing everyday, but it still takes a lot of talent to do this.
Skiing takes a lot of balls, air awareness, coordination, flexibility and good timing. Not that you cant improve these things, but it takes lots and lots of time. Park is NOT easy. anyone who thinks they can just go pro is wrong, these people have lots and lots of raw talent, and the next generation of pros will have even more.
