I am going to guess that they retape over the tapes every week or so, I'm not too sure whether or not stores keep tapes on file

I worked as a rent a cop at a closing sporting store. Becuase most items are inventoried once a week. The footage is only kept for about 7 days or less.
So what did you do?

true, so if they have a big hard drive ,they could keep it as long as they want to. I am sure its at least a week, if not a month or more. It probably depends on which store it is. They all most likely have different policies.

then why wont you explain to us what you inocent of? people are only secrative when they are guilty. If you want to know if its still there, then call and ask, give them a day and a time. they will be happy to oblige, infact if this was a canadian incident, By law they have to show you the tapes.

someone answered the question! IT DEPENDS ON THE STORE!...read? every place is different depending on whats being sold and if its a small mom and pop store compared to a huge chain.

im sure its a no, hard drives cant keep more than a week of footage because movies take up huge space on harddrives, and video tapes they would just tape over so no longer than a week im sure.
tell us what you did
