I'm looking at getting atomic triplets but am not sure which length yet: 163cm or 171cm.
I am 168cm tall, weigh 57kg, female and beginner in the park.
Would appreciate your opinion!

I'm a beginner in the park aswell...I'm 177cm tall weigh 65kg and I skied on 161cm skis the other week....They were a little short, but did the job and coped even on bumps and powder...
Definately go with the 163cm...

yes go with the 163 IF YOU PLAN ON LOOK COMPLETELY STUPID AND NOT BEING ABLE TO LAND ON A JUMP BIGGER THAN 20'
Always go your height or bigger

so no one else caught the "beginner in the park" part huh? i would say, since you are a girl and probably lighter than the average guy would be at the same height, and atomic's twins that i skiied were relatively stiff, i would go with the 163s over the 171. learn some basic stuff on them, and have fun. by the time you are ready for a longer ski, the atomics will probably be trashed anyway. you're not really buying park skis for the long haul, most people get two years out of them at most.

I'm speaking as a beginner here, all you guys are probably pulling 720's and inverts...The 163s don't get the speed or air, but she's lightweight so she aint gonna be getting as much speed as a heavier guy...
171's are obviously the pick with the experts or compentant freestylers, but like I said, I'm a bit taller and I was doing just fine in the park on 161's which were far too short for me...
Best idea is to demo them both if possible, you're the person who's gonna be spending all the money and ski-ing on these for a fair few seasons....
Good luck with the choice!

i got pes two years ago at 169 when I was 5 9...worked out great for beginning so I would go 163 and just learn how to do it. then grow out into some dope long ones.
"Holy shit, did you see that tweaked out pencil! That was insane, that guy really knows how to rip."

First of all she's a beginner not an expert! She doesn't need to have the speed or whatever you claim a 171 has over a 163 which isn't much. If you're smart and want to learn how to throw around skis and speed up your learning curve get the 163's, you'll be happier learning how to spin, carve, grind etc.

Yeah well i am 6' 1" and i am 163 and 169 skis,, and they are not long enough for me to grab, and do the moves i want. Look at the pros, they have super long skis not matter what height they ar akak Tanner, Jon , and others.
