Is it normal that I can cork and do bios but not spin straight? I can hardly spin 5's straight but I can bio and cork 7, I don;'t get it, I get off ballence when I spin straight.

I'm with you. I used to be rock solid with my normal spins and ever since I learned how to cork I can't stay on axis and just spin normal.

I end up with really banged up shins damnit!

well you have any good tips on how do spin straight smoother? I can do 3s but past that I freak out and start flailing to get around everytime. Its like I am totally worried that I am just gunna die and I don't know why.

I think your axis depends a lot on how hard you pop off the lip and where your head is pointing in the air like looking up in the air will get you backseat looking down will get you front seat exc

Messing around on the trampoline has helped me get used to spinning more and more. Start with threes and just keep adding 90 to each spin.

Sounds sad but lately I've been working my ass off to spin on axis on the tramp. I think part of the problem is spinning with my shoulders uneven. If I put a lot of effort into spinning with them perfectly even things work out a lot better.

i wouldn't really know...I dont have any straight spin probs but i might go a little off the axis every once in a while but no big deal. On trampoline...off axis spinning is def much easier.

try to spin with both arms, like start the rotation with your leading arm and also your back arm. Usually when people only lead with one they get off axis

^i've found that a good way to stay on axis is to make sure you turn your hips and shoulders together as you pop off the lip. this forces your body to pop straight up because you can't turn your hips with your shoulders unless you extend your legs. and then with a good pop and your whole body moving together, things should go well as long as you stay tucked in the air.

chances are you're not accidentally corking, because that's bloody well impossible, your probably just going slightly off axis and claiming corks hardcore. corks you fully gotta get your body parallel to the table, or have your feet at the level of your head (horizontally) when you're in the air.

The best way to stay on balance is to look to the horizon upon take off, and then make sure to keep your eyes focused on the landing all the way.

Stop spinning bio's and cork for a little bit, and get the muscle memory for straight spins back down. See what happens then.
