yea it doest. you dont need an lcd screen. its helpful for indoor and recreactional shooting but thats not what i use it for. For follow cams you dont look at the lcd and out in the sun you cant see it anyways. lcd = for pussys

does sound matter in skiing and skateboarding footage? cuz i mean, every video, all you hear is music, and the occasional sound of rails. you dont really need great sound for that, do you?

^^not really. but I don't even use the mic it comes with anyway for most of my shots. I usually use an external shotgun mic for filming things other than skiing. But for skatboarding, it does a little. For skiing, not at all, cause all you're going to hear anyway is the sound of snow slushing and that shits bunk.

personally, I know lcd screens are only good for filming yourself, so you don't really need them. Even thogh they aren't needed, I still prefer a camera with onerather than without one.

^I dunno man, I've heard stories from the filmers of the Boarderline videos that the VX1 is has better quality shooting, but much less features and is harder to use. Plus I thnk the main reason they trade them in is so that they can get a death lens for it (since they don't make them for VX2) because they are skateboarders. For skiing though no one needs a death lens. Just a wide angle.

phrosty normally i respect you but you have no idea what your talking about here. I was talking about skate filming, and its the best camera for that hands down because like taka said, it has the mk1 death and looks really really nice in bright, warm day conditons. For skiing of course id rather have a vx21 anyday.
