What are some good big mountain comps to go to if you are just starting to do comps?

just do one of the IFSA tour ones. i know they usually have one here at mammoth, kirkwood, crested butte, and a few otehr places

yeah, but most IFSA shit is expensvie and you have to travel, two things that you don't want it you're just starting out. i am lucky enough to have a couple minor IFSA comps in state and some other locally run ones, too...just search every ski resorts events section of their website and maybe you'll get lucky.
