yeah, im the vp of my class. well, some cool things that we do are this end of year party thing. we hire a band to come and then do food on the grill. its not a fundraiser, just like something for the student body

yea^ thats good. My school has something similar but no one wins, its just to play. Called the acoustic coffeehouse in our gym haha. SO its basically an open mic.

Totally dig the outdoor BBQ. We had that a couple years ago with a band playing and it was great, but I forgot about that....thanks!

no we don't get any fun on the last days of school..... only finals out the ass. but we have some sweet shit anyways that our school does like Jam sessions every wednesday where a bunch of people who play instruments and shit just go

i say you should get the biggest steepest damn hill on campus and put 1000 slip n slides on it. build a slip n slide kicker and get some rails. have a slopestyle comp. i swear your school would be the shit!

We had a overnight walk for Cancer research. We raised $80,000.00. It was 100.00 bucks a kid and the whole school turned out all night it was mad fun...

im the student representative... we do relay for life (like just mentioned ^), im a freshman mentor, we do graduation speech, prom, hc, adopt a family at Christmas, food drives, and tonnns of fundraisers.

im the treasurer for my class, we've been doing the "fly 92" bball games...local radio station has a team that will play our faculty team...huuuuge turn out we usually make about 2,000 each night we do it..and thats sick cuz its such a small school 160 in my class

student councel = a bunch of assholes who dont do anything exept pick up trash. They think the represent the student body as a whole, but they never make any decisions that matter to us so it doesnt matter. much like real politicians really.

no, i would never run for student councel, but ya i guess we have a shitty one. they said "we dont deal with issues between the students and the administration, we just organize events"

umm actually u dont know what ur talking about.. we go the the board meetings.. and it was the student council that talked to over 3000 members of the community about bringing drug dogs into the school.. which swayed their decision... and the student council brought the attention to our jackass superattendants 180,000 dollar salary and all the schools bullshit and now we will have an entire new board of edu next yr

oh trusst my school blows.. 160 kids per grade.. in a school that resembles a jail located 3 minutes from a nuclear power plant.. its a rocking place lemme tell you.. ntm noone gets along with the surrounding schools, b/c our school has money b/c we glow in the dark and shit from the nuc plant

my school is a catholic school so we do a lot of community service and stuff like that. we sponsor something like 20 girls from 3rd world countries and give them clothes, food, money and schooling. we do the Princess Project (you donate your old dresses/shoes for girls who cant afford them so they have prom gear), we do bake sales, car washes, all of those lame things.
I also suggested a Date Auction for the girls for formal and prom. get some boys from the local schools and literally auction them off as dates...
But a Junior/Senior or rent-a-frosh
we also were thinking of doing Rent-a-pest... you pay 3 bucks to rent a member of whatever group is putting it on (in your case, senate) and they go bug anyone you tell them to really badly. that person has to either put up with it or give them 3 more bucks (to give to senate) to go bug someone else.
Since we wear plaid kilts, knee socks, polo shirts, the whole bit, we also do alot of community stuff and pretty much solicit people for shit. like, we will send some cute girls out to a mall or soemthing and they get people (read: guys) to buy tickets to a play, a donation, a benefit, wine auction...

also, can someone explain pep rallies to me? i dont get them.

we wanted to do that date auction.. b/c my dad is an auctioneer.. but once again the kids in my school suck.. and nobody would buy pre-sale tickets for the dance.. and our school doesnt let u buy tickets at the door

What about intermurals? Vow to have soccer, hockey, bordenball. altimate, flag football and basketball. Also vow to have more of those cheezy spirit days. You know like traffic day where you put up traffic signs in the school and the student council are officers and give people phoney tickets that really don't mean anything. Also shit like Gotcha. Don't know if you've ever played it, but it's a decent hs game where everyone who signs up gets a closepin with someones name on it. They have to pin that person on their pin (sometimes they have to find out who the person is first) during school hours but not during class hours and without getting caught or seen. When you pin someone they're out of the game and then you take their pin (plus all the pins that represent everyone else that that person pinned) and have to get that person. The person who ends up with all teh pins wins. It was a pretty big hit at my HS. I'm not sure I'm making much sense now, but if you've never played it and want to hear more msg me.

yeah, i left my high school (because it sucked) to do early admissions at community college (where my course schedule gives me tuesday and thursdays off this semester, and MWF off next semester!)

so i really don't know what the hell's going on in either of my schools, except i have a massive paper due in 1 hour.




anyway, have a rent a seinor day. those are always interesting, freshmen renting hot seinor chicks.

coffee house man. get a bunch of bands performing, and just let people sit around, chat, do whatever they want, put a bunch of mats on the ground for people, don't have it formal or anything with chairs and all that, forcing people to pay attention. we had one at my school and it was sick. lights were dark, bands (including mine) performed, and just sell coffee to people. tell them to bring their own mug and its a couple bucks for unlimited coffee for the night. seriously man it was a sick time.

if your HS was like mine, all the seniors dominated the main hall. One day we put on a strutt zone thing. In this one area of the hall, you had to strutt through it. Mnay kids do it too because there are a bunch of seniors yelling at them. It was funny because sme kids got stuck in one side of the school because they were too scared to strutt. I think the key to winning is to make sure the students know that you realyl want the position and have had your eyes set on it a long time.
