What's next for Independent Companies?

You've got armada, 4frnt, line, the major independent twin companies, and they are all expanding into bindings and poles(not all but u know what i mean). Also i acknowledge other companies like ninthward and liberty, but they are miles behind the three companies above in terms of popularity. I was wondering what would be next for these companies. A company liked burton started making boards, and now they make bindings, boots, pants, gloves, have sub companies like anon and red and that, could a similar thing happen in time with these companies?
i can totally picture armada outerwear and 4frnt boots, line freestyle? poles.
what do people think? i reckon theyre could be some major potential in the boots

armada, line, and 4frnt didn't revolutionize twins though. Burton kind of had a hold on the market. Also, snowboarding went from nothing to insanely huge in a few years. Skiing is onyl gradualyl growing, so companies have been seeing the advantage of producing and no single company is making huge amounts like burton did. There is no independent skiing company that comes close to rivalling burton. The biggest difference is the pre-presence of Rossi, salomon, K2, vokll, and the other biggies before the twin tip revolution.

it may happen some day rollerblading got huge quick and there were tons of brand new ones every day then the market place got flooded with shit '''' i think if one of these companys made boots all of them would and it would be a disaster because they wouldnt get it right for a year or two no one would buy them and that is the end of a company one of the big brands has to do it first to make it profitiable for the little guys then we may see it

Boots are probably going to be the hardest this for a freeski company to do, what most companys are doing is taking their existing boot, tossing in a shitty shock absorber, making to flex soft and putting it on the market calling it their park boot. It will probably be years before anyone designs a freesking boot, and it will probably be and offshoot of a rollerblading boot. Salomon will probably lead the pack in this because they make rollerblades and own Xsjado, who are making the most revolutionary rollerblade to date

Depends on your point of view, all the large companies you see stated as an independant before and just grew bigger and bigger. Look at line, they are doing like salomon back in the day. Salomon only produced bindings, nothing else, then later on they made skis, and is now the biggest ski company in the world. Line has already started to make bindings, and they had made a boot once i wold see these independants become that huge in time.
