The latest trend on both sides of the Atlantic is known as New School or Freeskiing or simply put, skiing for today's youth, with a new energy and a pure excitement factor.

This new trend in the skiing sector comes from a talented group of innovative Freestyle athletes who are creating a new skiing culture. This recent fad requires a new piece of equipment, called the "Twin Tips", a ski for Park and Pipe!

Skiing in Parks and Pipes is nothing new. It has after all been done by generations before. However this new trend has brought a blast of fresh air into the skiing sport.

One of the reasons for this amazing skiing revival is the new generation of skis, with which one can not only go on a slope and ski, but one can also jump in Half-pipes or from ski jumps. One of the results of this welcome fashion comeback is that today's youth, which is a hotly contended market target group, has taken to this new sport like a house on fire.

Freeskiing combines certain elements from riding Half-pipes with Freestyle as well as Tricks and Jumps. “Freeskiing is a synonym for freedom, as now, everything is possible with these skis.“Supafly from Kneissl�! That’s fun!�

In the USA, the trend has now established itself and more and more snowboarders are turning to the use of skis. It is a scene of the past where one saw the cool youth of yesterday with its piercings and tattoos, wearing skater gear, unconventional hairstyles and a snowboard under one arm on its way to the lifts. The picture has now changed. Instead of one board, there are now two. They now jump alongside the snowboarders on the Half-pipes, both embodying the youth of today with their baggy pants and their short-sleeved t-shirts worn over their long sleeved t-shirts. Freeskiers have earned the reputation as the new rebels of the winter sport. This revolution can almost be compared to the rise of the Snowboard trend.
