Yo!

Me and my buddies are going to whistler next season. Aand we need a place to stay... So my question is... Does anyone have any tips about how to find some nice place?
And when/where do you buy the cheap lift tickets?

come in the summer time, it will be easier to find a house than later in september... then find a job

work to live...not live to work. work to ski...but only if you ski to work. The simple equation to skibumming 101 ...i didnt do it

my friends that moved there have a staff job. they get a free season pass. and they pay 300$ a month I believe for their staff housing. it is a little dirty and 4 guys in bunk beds. but its cheap and you are there to ski.

I'm heading out with some friends next season too. We're applying for jobs this summer through a British company. Working for the mountain most likely, so they throw in cheap accomodation and lift pass.

The deal is however that it's REALLY hard to get a Canadian working visa. And without one I'm only allowed to stay in Canada for 6 months.

Where do I buy the pre season pass?

what are one's chances of finding a job and a place to stay around new years? pretty slim right...because myself, and a handful of my friends want to get a semester done next year, then move to whistler. but im skeptical, because it seems as if every opportunity would be taken by that point.

yeah... any canucks out there want to offer me a job i can somehow do better than any canadian? i could really use a work visa... this student visa shit aint cuttin it.

johan what up buddy...

there are a billion swedes here this year...

best bet is to get a student visa, enrol in a program through cap college (vancouver, squamish) get your cheap pass ($400) and do your courses through the internet...just take some bullshit english course or something...then you can have a part time job, a season of skiing and maybe you'll get a bit smarter.

but do all this before september, otherwise you wont find a place to live
