> Hello Everyone: Thankyou for making MIDWEST SUPERPARK happen.
SUN, SUN and More SUN, making the biggest thankyous being to Mother Nature, sure made things easy to enjoy for all those in attendance of the MIDWEST SUPERPARK '05. Many are to thank for all that happened here this weekend from the riders who traveled from all corners of the midwest: OH, IN, MI, WI, MN, IL, to the best local riders(MM AFFILIATES) all who put on a spectaclar show. TO the MEDIA that dedicated their time this weekend & probably for the next couple of days editing all the sick footage. To the Sponsors that really made my job easy, provide sweet prizes for all to enjoy, everyone left this weekend a winner. And lastly the Thankyou to those individuals that dedicated countless hours in park maintenace and event coordination, these fellas deserve the tru respect for making this event happen, because these massive snow and non-snow features make event like MIDWEST SUPERPARK be able to contend with any of a such "OUT WEST" events.
The numbers for the event were down alittle due to the rain days before. But numbers still reached more than 200 strong for those involved with the event, and the exposure was all worth it. I garauntee as all those that went home with their stories to those that didn't come will be quite jealous they didn't try harder to make it.
HIGHLIGHTS: The SMITH LIMO made it for our RAILJAM, the limo outfitted with a 18"wide box @ 32'long made for a spectacle show on snow, Zach the Limo driver even commented that usually a few people fall hard on it, but that the talent represented was deffinately some of the best he has ever seen, as no serious casulties came from it. By the end riders were spining on and off, and even flipping off of it.
-The Big AIR was a sight to behold as riders soared almost 100 feet at times, and the technicality of some of the spin/flip combos made this the hardest event we have ever had to judge, Congratulations go to two spectaclular riders, both of which one both events repesctively. MIKE HORNBECK (ski) & Nick Baumgartner (board)
Special thanks go out to our sponsors of MIDWEST SUPERPARK:
TITLE SPONSORS: REDBULL, SESSIONS, SMITH, SALOMON, K2ski&board, VIOSPORT
Co-Sponsors: Balance Bars, Altiods, Sinded, Hotfingers, Demon, Dakine, Rossignol, Leedom, Bonfire, Nitro, Rome, Spy, Volcom, Forum, Mt.Bohemia
Everyone came away a winner this weekend, you all provide both large numbers of both big and small prizes that the youngest of SUPERPARK attendants needed the empty boxes to carry all their sweet goodies.
I know it was said more than once that we had more prizes than they have ever seen at an event and multiple parents personally thanked me for the smiles on thier young ones faces. I will try to get pictures sent out to those sponsors in appreciation and in publicity for you to see how your products and banners were represented.
TO the Media: Thankyou for dedicating your weekend and days to come as you edit and sort through all the footage, I would really like to see any and all footage as soon as you get some of it finished.
PHOTO: I have mulitple magazines and sponsors that would love to see some pictures and some money opportunites might present themselves to you, and I will help direct your pictures to the right sources.
VIDEO: I saw alot of good cameras their this weekend and if anyone has ways to make copies of it, I would love to see some, we have good stuff too and would like to trade some angles of jumps and rails incase anyone got similar stuff, if we have stuff of your riders we would be happy to send it to you, PLEASE REMEBER US WHEN YOU GET YOUR VIDEOS DONE too.

TO the RIDERS: Thankyou for making the drive, taking the briuses, and pushing the envelope for skiing and snowboarding in the midwest. I had soo many comments about how amazing the talent was this weekand and I know it took some "Cahones" to hit our big stuff, now we hope to see you during the season next year, because we had most of this stuff all year long. Keep in touch and look forward to seeing you in print.
And my personal thanks to those who made this event happen just as much as I did, Park Manager Steve Shelby needs to be recognized for all his countless hours all season and espcially for his amazing skills building just days before the event. To the Park Crew of the weekend, dedicated making sure the jumps and rails were consistant, for maximum abuse all weekend, Thanks to all my Park boys.
Thankyou again to everyone involved in making the 2nd MIDWEST SUPERPARK a HUGE success.
To anyone: Please contact me with and questions comments and critisisms and footy that may arise.
Look forward to seeing you all gain next year.
Sincere Thanks-
