Snowbasin is the sickest resort in North America.
They get tons of snow, the terrain is sick, the people are chill, and there is never anyone there. Alta and Snowbird are sick too, but its always tracked out by lunch and stuff you see from the lift is done by 10. You get fresh all day long at Snowbasin, such a sick sick mountain.
And listing Park City or Heavenly as one of the best resorts in North America is beyond stupid.

you idiot. that was about parks, not resorts.
whistler is head and shoulders above anywhere else when it comes to resorts.
and tremblant is #1 in eastern north america...which probably puts them at 25 or so after western resorts are included.

^Now aren't YOU a montanan... if you've never been further west than Montana for skiing well give it a shot, in Washington or BC cuz some resorts in Montana are good but not that many...

Ummmmm Snowmass is actually cheap and sick if you know where to go... cheap lunches and big cliffs that are untracked...
however, on a side note about the Freeskier terrain park rankings... they are absolute BULLSHIT.... they put Snowmass/Aspen high up and said the best feature was our MASSIVE jump lines. they said there was a 60 to 70 foot line... bahahahahahaha, its April and our biggest SINGLE table all year was 30 feet... o yea they have photoshoot jumps, but we cant hit them, cept maybe one day a year... yea they lie...

Aspen is sick because there's 4 mountains all within about 15 minutes of each other, and one lift ticket for all of them. Pretty hard to beat.
Highlands is good on powder days, Aspen is good if you dont want a park, Buttermilk is probably the shittiest of them all, but if you want a beginners park it's pretty good, and snowmass owns all because it's sick everyday.

how can you say tremblant is the shits? did you go there when you were 12? i mean, it's got everything you need. great pow and glade skiing, terrific parks, fuckin flat out awesome nightlife, it's the ideal hill to be at, except for the fact it's got no scenery and isn't a massive resort like out in the west coast.
...stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

It's park is good no doubt, The thread here was best resort right, I find it has gotten out of hand
with tourists, Way over crowded, The hill can only handle so much, Like I said the night life is good & skiin there is fun but waiting to go up, waiting to hit a table, waiting to get into restaurant, & Now prices are sky rocketing, like 7.00 for a poutine with hardley any cheese on it!
Theres good music in the park though, Rock On
I guess I am a loner & don't like crowds. Spin is Awesome ect But Mtn is too gently sloped, Compared to Ste-Anne. This other guy was sayin it was the Best Resort in North America Duh ! No offense to anyone though!
Just my point of view

silverton mountain anyone? All that powder and steeps with no one around you. I don't know if they have the $30 lift tickets yet that you can go without a guide, but I remember reading something that they can let in more skiers without guides in april.
Imagine the ns outcry if u(lateralis) were banned. There would be countless threads and petitions to bring u back, it would be like when treadway got banned from whistler. Someone would probably make and sell 'Free Lateralis' stickers and shit. -j

number six, northstar? are you high? that might be the most terrible mountain outside of donner ski ranch... no offence to the ranch... but its called flatstar for a reason. and as for the argument about them having a stellar park... nothing is going to make up for the crowds and the mediocre terrain.

^^Agreed on the Northstar thing, no way that is top 6. The star is my home mountain (it's where I get a free pass, so i ski there). But ski just about anywhere else when I get the chance. Northstar isn't horrible, but there are no steeps, I have club vertical so crowds are managable. On a pow day it can be pretty fun since there are a ton of trees.
