hey I was wondering would there be anyway to actually get a seasons pass deal from a student or a way to get the deal anyways(legal or not) cuz im so fuckin broke and still in high school and I spent more money on tickets than I would have after buying a seasons pass for 350 bucks...

^Thx for the advice but dude come on its an insane deal and in high school parents dont buy passes for their loved children whose jobs arent enough for intrawest so I dunno I need a friggin pass and ill save like 300 bucks and ski twice as much. And im sure these super rich chinese kids from UBC dont even ski, so if I found one that looked like me or something...

yea i was and i still am, ha ahhh!! i have been in boulder the last 3 days seeing the campus and shit, beautiful!!, and i visited utah in late october (gross) and now i am going to visit UBC in 2 weeks i think

UC Boulder: 34th

UBC: 36th

U of Utah: 95th

They're all in the top 100. That's good.

^^well theres a difference between multiculturalism, which I also enjoy, and the chinese population in Vancouver(600 000). Im not racist at all but I find that chinese population in Vancouver doesnt try to integrate really, because theres so many that they dont even need to(speak english for example). Chinese ppl are usually cool tho I got lotsa asian friends and they are really smart so they bring the level up at UBC, but I mean they're kind of in their own community sometimes... UBC's location is great, 2 hours not even from Whistler, 25 min bus ride to downtown, lots of green areas...

French fry brings up an interesting little "problem". You'll find that many in the sometimes overwhelmingly huge asian population don't actually bother to deal with anyone who isn't asian. What you'll find weird is how someone who can barely speak english gets a better mark than you in English class. I still haven't solved that one.

As for UBC/the area, it's rather cool. UBC itself is on its own little peninsula. The outside of it is littered with beaches, and if you play golf, UBC has its own golf course. You never have to leave campus, because pretty much everything you could ever need, other than skiing and related things, is on campus. It is a rather big, spread out campus, so get used to walking really fast between classes, or just skate to get around. Skating is legal on vancouver city streets, just like biking, so it's actually a lot more convenient than in most places. The area just outside of UBC is really nice, with Kitsilano being my favourite. Lots of cool little stores, nice restaurants, a few cool small bars, more coffee shops than you could ever imagine, and yuppies everywhere, which means hot moms, or hot dads for you I guess.

Problem with UBC is that it's a little isolated. Downtown Vancouver is a 15-20 minute drive usually, and the bus takes longer. However, it's not all that bad, and yes, Whistler isn't that far, so you're good. Plus you get a dirt cheap Whistler if you feel like it (last year's cost UBC/SFU students $380 canadian with taxes...HA!), so you really have no excuse to go riding.

What else...uh, ya go to UBC so josh and JD aren't so lonely...hahaha the SUB option is still open for you.

Careful... a lot of rankings are funded by universities like cambridge and yale in order to talk themselves up to students. It's just good business... you have to make sure you have an independent analysis.
