go to add and remove programs in the control pannel and look to see if anything got installed like search toolbars and crap like that...u can get stuff like that from sites with lots of adds on it without even knowing it

go to download.com and get Ad-Aware Personal SE...its a spyware remover that is really good, i run it weekly and it helps a lot in addition to normal virus protection like McAfee.

I run ad-ware for spyware, Zone Alarm for pop ups fire/ wall and AVG for virus. they are all free programs

umm.. i dunno if u guys have themaround where ever u are.. but the best buy "geek squad" or whatever came to hookup our wireless and they put some program on my comp that works reallly welll and i havnt had anyproblems for about 8 months now.. soo i dunno u could talk to them
