why the hell do ride street on mountain bike at all. just ride bmx. I'm sure it be harder to do crap on a freakin 26 inch bike.

There are a ton of bmx pros with bikes weighing at about 23 pounds. thats really light. besides since a mountain bike is so much bigger it makes the whole bike feel heavier to manual and bunnyhop. Try to manual on a mountain bike then try to manual on a bmx,big difference. Another thing is that simpler=less problems and generally stronger. Mountain bikes are definitely not simple and have alot more parts where things could go wrong. Besides weight only makes a difference with bunnyhops anyway. there are plenty of bmxers where I live that can bunnyhop over trash cans on 30+ pound bikes. Bmx is cheaper, stronger, and all around better. (i guess mountain bikes would be better for drops but thats all)

^ mtb and bmx are both fun, one is not better then the other. the way to go is to do both.

^^i agree. My friend just got one and it looks pretty good, but its also pretty fuckin heavy. id aim for something a little lighter (unless all you do is urban in which case its fine)
