So I've been having some conversations lately about judging. Just wanted to hear everyone's opinions on who in skiing right now would be impartial enough yet also in-the-know enough to make a good newschool judge.

Thoughts?

but the thing with coaches is they have students. i have been dicked out of a few comps becuse judges know the people.

hmmm except the fact that they would be so unimaginably biased. he trains those skiers. of course he will favor them. everything that he made them work on hell point out as a flaw in other people and miss their other great factors because hes looking for other shit. itll turn into bumping straight up

The thing is in such a tightknit sport it is impossible to get someone who has no relationships with competitors and knowledge of the sport.

yeah but def not coaches. you can pick injured skiers or ones that dont compete. you need alot tho so everything balances out just like that one kid said

But even with riders there are friendships and stuff like that. Basically no matter what judging is gonna be fucked.
