Learning to skate

I really wanna learn how to skate this yr just for something to do.. i can snowskate pretty decently but i justtt started and i can ollie and stuff other than that i cant to anything much... any tips and what should i try next

screw newschool go old school...there are no girl skaters that can skate decenet old school. old school is like the longboarding of skiing, more of a fluent art

when the board does a 180 but you stay in the same position. the "pop" part means it leaves the ground

hardcore walking/freestyle walking is the shit. I cant get my 540s down though, ive got to try to jump off bigger stuff

yeah its hard learning on ur own... there are like 2 skate parks within 10 min from me.. but i have no one to teach me b/c my community sucks and so do the ppl, and nobody from my school is into it

i started to learn how to skate last summer but then at the end of the year we were having a fire behind one of my friends house and we needed some more fire wood so we decided to burn my board...it was pretty funny though. at least they had the courtacy of taking the trucks off

i can do little stuff..just from being around guys who do it i picked it up....i usually just do it tom green style haha...freewalking is saweet..dont do a huge 180 though off a set, your momentum will make your skull eat the floor. dnad it hurts BAD

Freestyle walking dominates. The only problem is it's too hard to run backwards so you're sort of limited on tricks. Sliding little wood handrails is the most fun though.
