Sking without much wax

Does it hurt the skis to ski on them without much wax or no wax at all???

ive noticed it a bit, the bases just deteriorate faster, especially when theyre in storage. i like to keep my stuffwaxed cause it prevents scratchjes and stuff

your bases just start to dry out and you'll notice they start to turn kinda white

plus its a pain in the ass. Your skis might stick to the snow if its above freezing and you wont go nearly as fast as you should.

yeah, what the kid in the first reply said. the bases def deteriorate in storage. at the end of the season, i always pile the wax onto my skis, and scrape it off at the beginning of next season. wax makes your bases slicker when you ride, and just give you more speed.

What happens is that the friction on the snow burns up your ptex. thats why it turns white.

bahahha yeah lat, i haven't waxed my skis since i got them (2 years ago), i don't think they were waxed in the first place, and they're....pretty freaking slow hahaha

I' waxed my scratches like 4 times in probably a good 170 days... its definatly not good for the ski but if you dont care then it dosent really matter.
