We're on for 4 weeks and whistler just got 3 feet of snow over the past 7 days - check out whistlerblackcomb.com no joke !
The whole Northwest hasn't had the most amazing snowfall this year, so here's the latest info. We had a meeting with Whistler Blackcomb to find out how things are looking for the summer. After long discussions and inspections of the glacier, we have decided to not build a halfpipe this summer, just in case this is all the snow we have to work with. We want to ensure that all our terrain is in the best shape possible for you. It's very important that we have the same quality of terrain for you to ride, whether you’re coming on the first week or the last week of camp.
We’ll still have great jumps of various sizes, tons of rails and unique jib features as normal.
So don’t worry too much about the lower than normal snowfall, every snowboard and ski camp in North America is facing the same challenges this year. Camp of Champions has the most snow of any camp on the glacier due to our location, so get ready for great summer riding.
Let all your friends on ns.com know this, we're on target to selling out on all sessions by May.
Regards

to put it into perspective, last year the glacier got 250cm of snow and it was fucking terrible, this year we have just under 200 including that snowfall. it will be there, but its gonna be way worse

"COC has the most snow" my ass it does. what a marketing scheme. maybe a few more inches/cms but nothing to gain over another camp. the fact is all the summer camps at Whistler/Blackcomb will not be as good as last summer or the previous years. id rather a camp be honest, and not say it will be a great summer with the same level of terrain, as the frontpage article does and be honest. drop the price of camp by 300$, make less money this summer, but save face. and not put out a bad "product" for each camper. but i understand if u disagree, there are a lot of loopholes in my arguement. but i still think that way

apparently to avoid this they are gonna get snowmaking on the glacier next season to build a huge base

What's the difference between a drunk and stoner at a stop sign???
The drunk speeds through, the stoner waits for the sign to turn green.
