man, i seriously have about 15 tickets in my glove compartment. and they're all from the same guy.. friggin 'duncan' always gets me. just park on the 15th floor of the parking garage..
the thing about the tickets is that they're given out by carleton, and it's not affiliated with ottawa police or anything - so as long as carleton doesn't know who's car they're giving tickets to, i don't think we'll ever have to pay them. (i hope, anyways)

you can get arrested here for jaywalking, it's like mad illegal, but no one cares so it doesn't really matter. My city is jaywalk capital of the world, even the cops don't care.
The weird thing with NZ is that in America the pedestrians have right of way and you can just walk out across the road and the cars will wait for ya. Here if you did that you'd get turned into road pizza and if you survived then you'd be the one in shit.
