Ii broke my pole once it sucked. i like bent poles to ski with 2 reasons.

i find mine in the garbage and cut them down to about waist height, then im good to go, infact i found a pole under a tree at the ski hill today, and its now a part of my arsenal

if you break poles, its cuz you have poles made out of shitty aluminum that is prone to failing. and you probly also suck, if you end up landing on your poles alot.

ive got 2 poles that are 9 inches to short..one has a basket one doesnt. there both bent into like an s..more like a double s. i bend poles all the time jsut bend it back over your knee. saves money

^plus they work so well, and are ultra-stylish. people are so cheap, spend the 50 bucks, and buy a pair of poles that will last you for a while, instead of looking like a knob with ones that are all bent to fuck.

i had good poles i think...smith compition. like the reddy/gold ones. and i bent them up at the top. and thy were alls tickered up....looked pretty schweet. but now the elft one has a huge bend in it. so i think ima get the $11 from canadian tire and paint them

I bought poles like 2 weeks ago on backcountry.com for like $10 and they dont look that bad either.

^ no its true though. aluminum breaks way easier then the carbon fiber compostie poles like the goode poles. they still break but they bent alot before they break.

my poles break for stupid reasons, like them hittign a tree and snapping, or getting caught under the chairlift. I don't buy good poles because I don't need to. Why spend 100 bucks when you can spend nothing?

make some poles out of your old ones! just get a tube of metal at homedepot then glue your old handel to it. then you got an awsome pole that no one will ever have

honestly i think joystick is the best quality for the price. and i know theyre not directly "supporting us" by giving us money and shit but they made them for freestyle skiing

just go out in the the woods and cut off some pine branches. theyre great! the needles serve as a basket and the wood is quite sturdy and light! and who cares about handles it doesnt matter...

the pole dangle can be a dangerous move in cold weather as my sig shows.

ive got another version of the pole dangle, its pretty funny too, gets cold when i do it on the lift tho.

I had some Leki carbon kevlar poles that lasted almost 8 years but broke them last weekend. I just cut them down to perfect size and painted them, ahh. Some Leki's are so ugly but those were great poles...I thought indestructable.

I've got these super special "freestyle" poles that you can conect them together and they become a rail.

WTF.....a pole is a pole, some are more durable than others, but use what you like. Buy Joysticks if you want to support a company.

Joystick does support freeskiing in a number of ways, they sponsor skiers, help to pay for comps and other events and if u look four inches to the right you will see that they are helping to pay for the website u are posting in rt now.

I am pretty sure joystick does not make enough money to give skeirs salaries or to pay for a skier the sponsor to enter a comp. They give free poles to some good skiers. They advertise on NS because NS is the probably one of the best ways to reach skiers. I am pretty sure Joystick wouldn't just throw money at NS unless there was something in it for them.

The handle popped off on my goode poles, so I bought some K2 public enemy poles. They were only 32 bucks and they are kicking ass so far. Plus I look super duper with the studs they have on the straps.
