one of the reasons Kerry lost Alaska is because he was against drilling there for oil. The people of Alaska support this it brings them jobs, money. ect.
The only people who are against this are tree huggers that dont live in the area for this to affect them.
its like those people who are upper middle class in the United States and fight so that no one touches an inch of the rain forest including the people living in poverty who need the wood for housing and money.

The current price for hydrogen cells is a few thousand dollars for the equivalent of a gallon of gas. Don't talk about shit you don't have any idea about. You're probably a little 14 year old girl who doesnt want the cute rabbits and polar bears to get hurt. You probably can't even drive. Gas prices are expected to be up to $3.00 a gallon by the end of the year. OPEC just keeps raising the prices. So unless you wanna spend 60 bucks every time you fill your tank, we should probably heard into another forest.

a pipeline in alaska would take up at the most a hundred foot wide strip of land. it wouldnt create very much pollution, and would create many jobs. this wouldnt disturb animal life in any way. animals adapt.

the oil wont polute most people dont know this but during december an oil tanker cracked open in valdez harbor and not neccesarily the piple line but where their drilling will be devestated have any of you even been to Prudehoe bay or even alaska to see the pipeline

k, i didn't read any of the posts since my last one, but anyways...
america didn't even sign the kyoto accord, at least canada and britain etc etc are trying to do something about the problems. i realize that you (americans) aren't the only problem but come on, we all know it's a problem.
I saw a chart of all of the average IQs of the american states. ALL of the top states voted for kerry, and ALL of the states near the bottom voted for bush, with very very few exceptions.
Every year the ice gets too thin to measure in the arctic by one day. So if it's may 3rd this year it'll be may 2nd next year that they can't measure the ice any more. this is a major problem. think about it, if it's melting that much it'll all be gone by 2050. and i dunno about you, but i plan on still being around in 2050.
