Replying to Who here has

Who here has been to Chile or New Zealand in late summer/early fall? I blew out another knee this past fall, and so i have $3,500 in travel budget to drop before next season starts. Where would be the best place to go to get some last minute filming in, in terms of bang for my buck, around Septemberish? I hear New Zealand is the place, but that S. America is cheaper. any advice would be well recieved, cause I don't really know how far a dollar stretches in these places, and what conditions/terrain are like. I'm not really interested in summer style camp/park stuff, but rather real skiing on real snow. thanks pals.
