Dumont: Severely Injured

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but today at Park City Simon blew the fuck up, overshoooting probably about a 75 ft booter by about 75 ft...snowmobile tow in, terrible misjudgement of speed, first hit, mike wilson style. I believe the diagnosis was shattered hip and ruptured spleen. Let's all hope he recovers well...the crash made me just sick to see.






ninthward is making some skis and maybe fucking some shit up on the side, and i love it.

flew a 75 footer by 75 feet???? if that is true which i highly doubt because a pro has been hitting jumps thats size for a while and their judgement would be more up to par

Check out the article on freeskier it says he cleared the 85 foot table by 100 feet and hit the highest point in flight at the end of the landing. He isn't stupid a tow in on a snow mobile makes it real hard to judge the speed you can have the sled go the same speed and come off at really differnt speeds depending on what you do

Lateralis, its a snowmobile tow-in, he ahd no control over the speed, hsi trust wwas in the snowmobile driver. im sure by the time he realized he was going way too fast, it was too late, he didnt tell the driver to go that fast obviously.

I don't see why people respond to Lateralis. he is a complete dick with zero compassion and is just trying to a get a rise out of people. Fact is, Lateralis, the kid got injured pretty badly. You should feel bad for him, regardless of how stupid you think he or the driver were. I personally can't stand Dumont, but I wouldn't wish him to get injured and I really hopes he recovers quickly

I hope he gets better. I wonder whether the snowmobile driver was going too fast and Simon said fuck it, or if he actually wanted to go as fast as he did.

Lateralis, it's not just the gap itself they have to worry about, it is also the take-off. Dumont was the first to hit it and he thought it would be the right speed because the run-in to the jump was flat. Mistakes do happen.
