I've been thinking about it all day long and come to a conclusion. CKO sparked my desire to write all this out a few threads down in the most current armada site thread started by 'rossignolpowair'
CKO makes a very good point... the most inteligent thing anyone has said about armada so far, and I think it is very much the truth... armada isn't REALLY about the skis, never the less I am pretty sure they (the skis) will be good, and they (armada) probably understand that yeah, its gotta be good the first time the skis come out or their rep goes south fast. Has anyone stoped to think that might be the reason they are waiting to release the information on the skis? Maybe they want to make sure EVERYTHING is dialed in just right before they let people know about it, it makes sence to me.
But that isn't the point, I think the real focus is that these are the guys who created what we have today, as well as the new guys who are taking shit to the next level.
For all of these athletes to stop what they are doing and say its time for a change and start their own company, to leave their sponsors of the last 6 years and with whom they actualy CREATED the modern twin tip, is a pretty monumental move.
I couldn't agree more, a change is needed, when bode miller makes 1.2 million over three years from rossignol, when companies throw new school on the backburner and use the profits for rental ski development... well then ya, I don't think that is the right direction for skiing.
