T-Halls or the AR5s

I get to choose between the tanners and the AR5s. i am only using them for the park, which do i get?

the tanner are mad ill for butters but the ar5;s are still soft, so id say its a toss up, id just go for the STL's

AR5's are more all mtn anyway. go t-halls.

if you need a 176, get the t-halls. for other sizes look for the ar5s/ they are exactly the same dimensions and everything, i just think the t-halls are a little softer.

You know what... either way, you're going to ski a couple of runs and then spontaneously combust because of how awesome your new skis are. So you really can't lose. ...er, or can't win, depending on the way you look at it.

Don't the t-hizzes have a rounded edge too, I don't think the ar5 has that.

no the t-halls ren't no joke...they are made for the best and are just a variation of the AR5 to be more suitable for butters and jibs.

wow, no one has answered this question very intelligently. I would say it has a lot to do with your weight, personally. If you are a heavier skier (180+ pounds) go for the ar5s because they are stiffer and better for landings. If are lighter and love rails and butters for the Thalls. But frankly, how much of the time when you are actually riding on skis are you doing butters? maybe 10% tops?

But it's not like he won't be able to ski park on Ar5s, and it's not like he won't be able to ski all mountain on T-halls. So... it's a toss up. You can't really lose. Even Tanner switches halfway through a comp, apparently.

yeah, it doesnt really matter except on ur weight. but generally for only park you would go with the T-Halls

T-Halls are more park, they're a tad bit softer. If you want the same thing basically but stiffer, get some AR5s, you'lle be happy either way...

oh, I'm going to go buy whatever ski the guy who has the best comp results this year rides. THAT is an intelligent purchase.

The rounded edges, if anything, just limit you. Unless you are sliding wood, you don't need a rounded edge. The T-Halls are softer for buttering. How often are you butterign compared to whaen you are skiing. If you do not turn and do not ride pipe EVER, get the T-Halls. Sure.

How is it that people don't get that the edges are "rounded" only underfoot, and you can still ski with them no problem... besides the fact that "rounded" doesn't even mean they're that dull. They're not.

They are dull. The rounded edges are more dull than my skis that have been on rails all year and have not had a tune. You're trying to tell me they can still ski well with rounded edges on a foot and a half of your ski. They will still ski, but not as well as a ski with edges. Mayeb I liek to ski otuside of the park and like to be able to hold an edge and not wash out my turns. Maybe I like to ski pipe sometime and try for some air. Mayeb the guy should get the AR5s.

Ok dudes, I understand T-halls are not going to perform as well OUTSIDE of the park. But stop being degenerates and stick to the initial post. This guy said he will ONLY BE USING THEM FOR PARK. I for one have never used either skis and can not make an educated suggestion. However, it annoys me considerably that people are to lazy to stick with the topic.

get the fugis, they are cheaper and are a sick ski, they are good enough for pep and the rest of the k2 team. for the armadas, buy the one that's cheaper, they are almost the same.
